I have been a member of UTKD since I was 6 years old, and now at 22, I can confidently say that it has had a profound impact on my life. UTKD has instilled in me discipline and the five tenets of Taekwondo: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. These principles have been my guide both within and beyond the club.
Despite the challenges of being dyslexic, UTKD has been instrumental in helping me excel. Under the guidance of our exceptional trainer, I have earned multiple medals in competitions, represented England in Taekwondo, and served as the junior team captain. Competing in places like Rimini, Italy, and Tallinn, Estonia, has been a remarkable experience.
The skills and values I have gained at UTKD have also supported my academic progress and are now helping me prepare for a future career in Switzerland. I am determined to continue training and have ambitions to compete again.
Universal Taekwondo is not just a club; it is a family. It has had such a positive impact to life, and I highly recommend
Thank you, UTKD for everything.
