Universal Taekwon-Do pride ourselves on teaching authentic ITF Taekwon-Do to families across Shropshire.
All our instructors hold valid insurance and have been vetted by the DBS (Disclosure Baring Service) (formerly the CRB (Criminal Records Bureau)) and undergo regular training to ensure they teach you only the very latest approved Taekwon-Do techniques.
We only issue GENUINE ITF (International Taekwon-Do Federation) certification for your grades, which are issued by the ITF or their authorised National Associations, and are recognised world-wide. UTKD is affiliated to Alliance Taekwon-Do United Kingdom (A.T.U.K.).

A.T.U.K.
Alliance Taekwon-Do United Kingdom is a National Association officially recognised by, and affiliated to, the ITF (the World Body for Taekwon-Do) and the BTC (the UK Sports body which regulates teaching practices, issues instructor and student insurance (licences) and manages all legal and Health and Safety policies).
A.T.U.K. is our National Taekwon-Do Association, and our official link to the ITF and the BTC.
International Taekwon-Do Federation
I.T.F.
Founded on 22nd March 1966, the ITF is the ORIGINAL world body for Taekwon-Do, established by the Taekwon-Do founder himself (General Choi Hong Hi, 9th DAN).
The most important role of the ITF is to ensure only genuine authentic Taekwon-Do techniques are taught by its instructors.
The ITF run International Instructors Courses for instructors and International Technical Seminars for students, giving you the opportunity to learn from genuine ITF Grand Masters.
They also issue Black Belt certification and sanction Continental and World Taekwon-Do championships.
UTKD is affiliated to the ITF via our National Association (A.T.U.K.) under plaque number 7216.

Established in 1988, the BTC is the only UK Taekwon-Do body recognised by Sport England.
The BTC provide all the latest legal and Health and Safety policies as recommended and authorised by the UK Government ensuring you are in the safest possible hands!
We are affiliated to the BTC through our National Association (A.T.U.K.) who are a BTC full member group.
I started taekwon-do about 3-4 years ago with my eldest son and it gives us something which we can do and progress along together.
I can honestly say I wished I had done it years ago as I absolutely love it! It's been a great way to keep fit but also learn a life skill at the same time, whilst meeting a great bunch of people.
The instructors are very highly trained and manage to strike a good balance between learning constructively and having fun as well. I can't recommend enough!
